San José, Costa Rica. October 8th, 2014 – Amazon Support Services in Costa Rica (NASDAQ: AMZN) today inaugurates its fourth service center and announces 1000 new jobs at its offices located in Calle Blancos and Lagunilla. The Earth’s most customer centric company offers seasonal jobs and permanent positions with open dress code, paid training, transportation, doctor on site, plus others.
The new operation comes as part of the $19,000,000 accumulated investment by 2014 and spreads the company’s footprint to 28,522 m2 including the four service centers in the country.

Amazon currently employs over 2,100 people and has diversified its services with the recent incorporation of software development engineers to its Seller Support Center, located in the building inaugurated with the participation of the President of the Republic, Luis Guillermo Solis.

Amazon offers customer service positions, human resources and administrative jobs, as well as management posts. At this time, over 1000 new jobs are available for customer service associates with language skills in English, Portuguese and Italian.
Amazon opened its first customer service center in Costa Rica in October 2008 and has continued to grow. Since that time, its associates have offered support to millions of customers and sellers in the United States, Spain, Mexico and Brazil.
