We looked into Costa Rica specifically for being a country in which talent was a real highlight for Microsoft to invest and prioritize in the country for making this operation, which is now the biggest we have in Latin with more than 800.

Recovering quickly from adversities to bounce back stronger

DXC serves the Americas, primarily USA as well as EU, with strong links to Poland, India and Philippines. Form Costa Rica it serves +100 clients. During the COVID-19 crisis, DXC was able to provide business continuity with no business disruption to all of them, having its more that 1,800 Costa Rican staff working 100% from home. DXC Costa Rica has served as benchmark for response to its other operations globally.

Akamai Costa Rica aims to foster technological innovation in the company and in the community. That’s why it is home to the company’s 1st Innovation Lab globally which is called Danny’s Lab. Complementing the on-site space is a new mobile classroom that brings a teaching environment to remote communities so they can dream, create and learn through technology.

Doing business by creating a positive experience and maximizing service offerings through building relationships

VMware has one of its most diversified operations globally, in Costa Rica. One of its several key functions is its Network operations center (NOC) where engineers are in charge of providing engineering support for network connectivity issues, as well as working as a liaison for carriers and other information technology (IT) technicians. They are responsible for solving and preventing data outages with wired and wireless system connection hardware as well as communicate with other on-site system professionals to provide issue resolution in a prompt manner.

Since 2007, Sykes Academy in Costa Rica has provided technical education and English improvement scholarships to students, employees and people with interest and aptitude for technology to gain new skills for the works of the future. In 2019, the Academy had a total of 3,156 students enrolled and, through a partnership with the Ministry of Labor, 1,686 people were trained in English.

This Process Engineering Center is responsible for designing the control diagrams and hardware components such as controllers, electrical cabinets, networks and control boards for process optimization.
