Fiserv expands in Costa Rica and expects to hire 400 new employees

San José, June 9th, 2016 – Fiserv, Inc. (NASDAQ: FISV), opened its new location in the east of the capital, in the Oficentro Terra Campus in Tres Rios, this morning. The company provides technology solutions for financial services, and is one of the pioneers in developing this kind of services in the east of San José.
Fiserv provides services to banks, savings banks, credit unions, investment management firms, leasing and finance companies, retailers, traders and government agencies, worldwide.
The opening ceremony was attended by Luis Guillermo Solis, President of Costa Rica; Alexander Mora, Minister of Foreign Trade; Marcelo Jenkins, Minister of Science and Technology; Vanessa Gibson, Director of Corporate Development and Investment Climate of CINDE; as well as senior executives and employees of Fiserv.
Fiserv operates in Costa Rica since January 2004, when it opened its first office in Zona Franca Metropolitana in Barreal de Heredia, and currently employs more than 550 people. In the next 24 months, Fiserv hopes to continue the growth of its operations in the country, opening more than 400 new jobs between its two locations.
President Luis Guillermo Solís expressed his satisfaction with this announcement.
