San José, Costa Rica. February 24, 2023. Huntsman Corporation (NYSE: HUN), a global chemicals company, opened its Global Business Services (GBS) center for the Americas region in Costa Rica today with the inauguration of its offices in America Free Zone, Heredia.

Huntsman is a global chemicals company headquartered in The Woodlands, Texas, with more than 50 years of experience in manufacturing and marketing more than 7,500 products for a wide variety of markets, such as aerospace, transportation, construction, food preservation, energy, and fuels.

Huntsman’s products also enable approximately 750 million tons of lifetime emissions to be removed from the planet each year. Whether it’s wind energy, fuel efficiency, transportation electrification, or home energy efficiency, Huntsman’s innovative solutions drive significant emission reductions and play an important role in creating a more sustainable future.

The company arrived in Costa Rica on August 2022, and currently, its new global service center has about 60 employees. The center will support the company's operations, with a focus on activities in the Americas region in addition to certain global activities, optimizing its performance in terms of cost, service, and efficiency. Huntsman expects to reach approximately 100 people by the end of this year.
