  • The company’s new offices are located in the America Free Zone (AFZ) in a space that prioritizes employee accessibility and promotes innovation and collaboration.

San José, Costa Rica. January 15, 2025. Workday, Inc (NASDAQ: WDAY), a leading provider of solutions to help organizations manage their people and money, entered the Costa Rica market in 2024 and has grown quickly, adding new processes and business units in modern new offices.

The U.S. based company is expanding with the addition of new divisions in such key areas as customer experience, global revenue operations, finance, and people and purpose (human resources).

“We are continuing to grow and invest internationally. Costa Rica was a key decision for the company, and it is thanks to its human talent and exceptional service that we’ve been able to grow. As we receive more customers, we need to scale up our support and operations. That is where our global workforce strategy comes in and this country offers the conditions to serve our partners around the world with excellence,” said Workday Costa Rica Country Director Jancy Castro.

Workday provides services to more than 500 organizations worldwide, from medium enterprises to more than 65% of all Fortune 500 companies over a wide spectrum of industries.

“This growth and Workday’s presence in Costa Rica is a milestone in itself. We should point out that it is not just any company that can double the number of jobs it creates in less than a year, going from an initial 100 employees to 200 employees, and that can also continue growing in 2025. We are pleased to be helping them along this path and we celebrate the fact that the intensive knowledge services of Costa Rican talent will allow the company to expand its operations in key units such as finance and human resources, in addition to additional incremental growth in the processes it already has,” added Marianela Urgellés, managing director of CINDE.

New business units in Costa Rica
Workday Costa Rica is expanding its operations to include new business units and processes, such as a dedicated collections team in finance, a talent acquisition and benefits team in people and purpose, and continuing growth in implementation practices, consulting, and support functions in the customer experience area. This is in addition to incremental growth in revenue operations groups dedicated to business/process analysis, deal operations, and project management.

New business units have meant new offices for the company’s operations, now located in the America Free Zone (AFZ). The facilities prioritize employee accessibility, encourage innovation and collaboration, and incorporate local design elements that reflect the essence of Costa Rica.
