CINDE Multilingual Job Fair Starts with More than 4,600 Openings
San Jose, Costa Rica. April 5, 2024. CINDE has kicked off its 17th edition of the country’s most prestigious multilingual job fair onsite at Antigua Aduana.
The specialized, free-of-charge job fair takes place this weekend, April 5-7, with the participation of more than 40 multinationals offering more than 4,600 job openings.
“This is a unique opportunity and a communication bridge that encourages national talent and facilitates contact between candidates and multinational companies supported by CINDE. With 17 years of experience, this project boasts many success stories of Costa Ricans cultivating professional careers in the multinational sector thanks to this initiative. At CINDE we continue to work on improving job opportunities for Costa Ricans and enhancing the business climate for investors,” asserted CINDE Investment Climate Director Vanessa Gibson.
The event seeks to recruit talent with mastery of more than two languages, mainly English and others such as Portuguese, French, and German, according to the demands of already established firms in Costa Rica as well as new companies that have recently decided to set up here and are searching for their first teams.
The firms, members of the services, digital technology, manufacturing, and life science sectors, are looking to hire operators and human resource, manufacturing, customer service, accounting, finance, engineering, software development, quality, data management, project management, management, design, communications, and sales staff, as well as personnel in other areas.
Everything you need to know to participate:
· Hours: Friday, April 5, and Saturday, April 6, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.; and Sunday, April 7, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
· Requirement: Preregister and come to Antigua Aduana on one of the three days of the event.
Those interested must preregister on the
www.cindejobs.com platform. After completing or updating their profiles, candidates must take the
BELT language test in English. These two steps are obligatory for participating onsite at the fair. Once candidates have fulfilled the requirements, they will receive a QR code as an entry pass.
The only mandatory language test is the English test so that candidates can identify and evaluate their level. The
French and
Portugues tests are also available free of charge.
New to this edition is the PDA test, offered by CINDE in partnership with Reclutamiento Digital, which helps candidates identify essential or soft skills that can strengthen their professional profiles.
In addition, this year CINDE has launched a novel initiative, Talk2CINDEJobs, a help and orientation stand for people who are unemployed and need advisory from participating company volunteers. The stand will provide mentoring, active listening, best practice recommendations, networking, and other services.
During the three days of the job fair, attendees will learn about the new human talent training initiative developed by CINDE in conjunction with
BDS Asesores:
EPI (Professional Interactive Education). This training option offers updated courses according to labor demand and global trends.
The CINDE team has dedicated this onsite edition of the multilingual fair to the memory of Alejandra Chaves González, a woman entrepreneur who for many years was an essential part of the event’s logistical organization and a fighter against breast cancer.
