"The trade ties strengthening with Japan is part of our central government efforts to diversify our economy and strengthen both trade and political ties. The objective pursued by this business agenda involves multiple aspects, such as the investment promotion in Costa Rica, platform events with potential investors, as well as one-on-one meetings with companies already established to strengthen relations. In addition, during this tour we will have the opportunity to meet with government authorities, with whom I will discuss the current trade and investment situation between Costa Rica and Japan, as well as measures to promote greater economic relations between the two countries, "explained Mora.

Jorge Sequeira, Managing Director of CINDE, commented "CINDE has been working on the diversification of investment markets and precisely the Asian market is one of our points of interest. More than a dozen Asian companies successfully operate within the investment sectors promoted by CINDE in Costa Rica. We are promoting a series of actions aimed at positioning Costa Rica as an access platform to the Americas for high-value services and manufacturing operations. "

The business agenda will begin on Monday, June 19th through Friday, June 23rd. Opportunities to increase the trade flow with Japan are broad, which is why these visits and an active work agenda have been coordinated.
